The Shepherdstown Men's Club owns the War Memorial Building thanks to the foresight of early members who purchased the building in 1947 and those who led the restoration in the 1990's. The Community would not be the same without it. Photos of events held at the WMB testify to the wide variety of imaginative uses made of the venue.
The WMB does offer an interesting location right in the center of Historic Shepherdstown. A full catering kitchen, a lift to the second floor, a ballroom know widely for being good for dancing, use of tables and chairs at no extra cost makes renting here a very practical choice.
We make the WMB available to the community and civic organizations at a heavily discounted rate as a large part of our Service to the Community policy. We also offer the Building to individuals and organizations at very reasonable rates. Because we are not a commercial operation we have some rules and regulation, and rental of our facility requires some acceptance and cooperation. We look forward to working with you if you decide that this is where you want to host your event.
The first floor offers a newly restored hall which can accommodate up to 100 people!
The second floor includes a 120 person grand ballroom and a commercial kitchen! Both floors have gallery display capabilities.
There is a lift to the second floor providing easy access for supplies and people .
Bathrooms are on the first floor and are handicapped accessible.
