Alcoholic Beverages in the War Memorial Building

The Shepherdstown Men's Club is not licensed by the West Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Commission as a private club and is not authorized to sell alcoholic beverages. Any sale of alcoholic beverages in the War Memorial Building is a violation of State law.

The serving of alcoholic beverages is allowed in the War Memorial Building only with the explicit permission of the Shepherdstown Men's Club.

When alcohol is served in the War Memorial Building, the applicant must understand and agree to abide by the following conditions:

1. The sale of alcoholic beverages is prohibited.
2. No alcoholic beverage may be served unless food also is being served.
3. No alcoholic beverage may be served to any person not a member or a guest of the party or organization renting the War Memorial Building.
4. No alcoholic beverage may be served to any individual under the age of 21.
5. No alcoholic beverage may be served to any individual who is impaired due to the consumption of alcoholic beverages or the use of any controlled substance.
6. No alcoholic beverage may be served to any mentally incompetent person.
7. No advertising or publicity about this event will mention that alcoholic beverages will be served.
8. No person in attendance shall be permitted to behave in a manner as to constitute a public nuisance.

I understand and agree to abide by these conditions. I understand and agree that failure to abide by these conditions may result in the Men's Club retaining all or part of the security deposit or in refusal to authorized future rental of the War Memorial Building.

Permission to serve alcoholic beverages under these conditions is authorized by the Shepherdstown Men's Club
